CamLogic Method

  • Install and position the Cam Logic Billet Enclosure onto the crankshaft snout with the supplied slip collar, lock the housing in a goodworking location, typically below the cam gear.

  • Install and position the supplied position dial indicator above the #1 cylinder.

  • Install and position the supplied cam lobe indicator for the #1 intake lobe.

  • Rotate the engine in the normal direction of the rotation to any distance before TDC, typically 0.050" 0.100". Stop and press the BTDC Button on the Cam Logic Digital Display.

  • Continue rotating the engine past TDC to the same value that was selected for the BTDC. Stop and press the ATDC Button on the CamLogic Digital Display.

    • The Cam Logic's advanced microprocessor electronically positions the unit at a true TDC, to within 1/10th of a degree accuracy. Now that TDC has been set, we move onto degreeing the camshaft.

  • Rotate the engine in the normal direction of therotation to any position before max lift, typically 0.050" 0.100". Stop and press the POS. 1 Button on the Cam Logic's Digital Display.

  • Continue rotating the engine past max lift to the same value that was selected for POS.1. Stop and press the POS.2 Button on the CamLogic Digital Display.
